How a Standard Probate Case Works
Step 1
Getting You Appointed

We introduce you to your legal team, prepare and file the paperwork asking the court to officially appoint you as executor/administrator, and appear at court on your behalf.

Step 2
Administering the Estate

Once you are appointed, you are able to move forward with selling property and accessing assets. We guide you through the court requirements in administering the estate, including doing an appraisal and inventory of assets.

Step 3
Pay Debts and Taxes

We give the required notices to creditors. All debts of the estate must be addressed, including paying creditors and tax obligations.

Step 4
Final Petition to Distribute the Remaining Assets and Close the Estate

We file a final petition with a report to the court on the assets, debts, and expenses of the estate, so that you can ultimately distribute assets and close out the estate.
